Georgia Company deed, 1795.

This collection consists of a deed between the Georgia Company and Thomas Young et al, selling to Young part of the western territory granted to the company by Governor George Mathews, 1795. Those named in the Georgia Company are James Gunn, Matthew McAllister, Jacob Waldburger, all of Chatham County; George Walker, William Longstreet, of Augusta; Zachariah Cox of Montgomery County, and Wade Hampton of South Carolina. The purchasers named are Thomas Young, Andrew McCredie, Owen Owens, John Curry, Emanuel Wambersie, Joseph Miller, Richard Wayne, James Johnston, Jr., Matthew Johnston, James Robertson, John McIver, John Fox, Benjamin Sims of Augusta, George Ker of Charleston, South Carolina.
